A Midnight Summer's Dream Book vs. Movie

There is a quite a few differences between the book and the movie. Like in the book Oberon curses Titania in order to acquire her Indian page. Before releasing her, he reveals to Puck (who likes to exacerbate things and situations) that his plan succeeded. But in the movie, Oberon begins with the same intentions, all mention of the Indian page is dropped after the initial confrontation and is never resolved. In the book there is also no torches or lights but in the movie there is a torch. In the movie, there is a mud pit that Hermia and Helena fall in while in the woods, this scene was used for dramatic effect. While in the book there is no such thing for a mud pit. In the book, Peter Quince opens the play within the play as the Prologue, explaining the action to come and then departing the stage. As of the movie, Snout as the Wall opens the play. Peter Quince remains backstage to feed lines and become frustrated with the shortcomings of his cast.. There is many more differences between the movie and the book. Also, in the book it is never mentioned or implied that Bottom is married. In the movie, Bottom hides from his angry wife in the city, who urgently seeks her "useless dreamer" of a husband. Other than these, there's not many more differences that I know of. Both versions were very good in my opinion and also extremely interesting to read/watch. My favorite character was Puck, just because he was very bane to everyone except his master, who I forget the name of. He was eminent for causing drama and chaos.

I've never really read Shakespeare much but now that I have, I feel the need to read more of these books.

20 key findings of the Senate's CIA torture report/ Yes, the CIA torture report should have been released

There is quite a bit to reply to this article.. But I won't try to rant to much. Yes, I agree some innocents do get tortured, it happens. BUT, "aftermath of the 9/11 attacks and the methods the CIA used to try to extract information from those it thought had knowledge of that plot and others" (Keane, 8-10). From what I get after reading this, these terrorist can kill thousands of innocents at our homeland, but some of our nation has a problem with us doing a little pain to those enemy combatants? I mean come on.. These kind of people have no balls if you ask me. I truly hate the fact that innocents get tortured and we (CIA) break and bend the rules. But the "Never Forget", means something. We made that for a 9/11 remembrance for a reason. If they capture us, what would they do to us? It's a scary thought, at least these prisoners get free food, free living, free medical and dental, and who knows what else. Sometimes we just have to do what we have to do in order to find those head leaders and coordinators. Anyways, I still have respect for anyone's thoughts and opinions. We are all different I guess.

The Quest for the Perfect Diet

With the subject of "How did we get it so wrong? (Week, 20)", that is just the process and cycle of life. The human race learns new stuff everyday as years and years go by. I guarantee the people will keep finding out new information about the foods we eat or even stop creating certain minerals in the ingredients. People keep getting smarter and smarter as time goes by. Technology upgrades and new tools will find new problems. With the obesity going up 35% in the past three decades, is very believable. If you look at OLDER pictures, movies, videos, etc.. You didn't nearly see as much "fat" (hate that word) people. Heck, at one point West Virginia was rank number 1 for obesity. I wouldn't be surprised if we still are or even get first place again. But you know, for me I believe if someone is hungry let them eat. Don't make fun of them, because some people just weren't born with a fast metabolism. Some people like to build cars, I like to shoot guns, and some people just like to eat. And to me there is nothing wrong with that. This world is to full of hate..

'Bloody Sunday' Remembrance March in Selma Celebrates Freedom

This "Bloody Sunday" thing sounds different than what it really is. But finding out what it really is about, is half and half amazing. "Freedom marchers whom police clubbed and tear gassed as they peacefully filed acrooss on Sunday, March 7, 1965" (Basu, Shelbayah & Brumfield 04). I'm just so tired of these blacks constantly complaining about white policemen. Maybe if the black race would stop ganging up and doing the crimes, they wouldn't be shot and killed especially when they attack an officer or danger another person's life. WHO WOULD HAVE KNEW THAT'S THE ANSWER?! But I won't dis on blacks because not all of them are gang members or criminals. Now I understand the march 50 years ago during the whole segregation. Yes, that did needed change. Do not get me wrong, i'm not racist at all. But look how much they took advantage of this whole "stop the separation of whites and blacks." Blacks have the HIGHEST crime rate for a fact and want to throw fits and have riots because "whites" (police) are stopping them and sometimes killing them for the crimes/actions? If you ask me we need to get more strict with the law, and not give in to their baby fits. This is America, where we let any race/religion/etc.. live and be free. So blacks need to stop trying to get favor out of us. Because we are only gaining more of a hate for them.

In a Nutshell: Net Neutrality

Honestly, with the cable companies trying to take down other small internet companies is pathetic and cruel. Because they could be taking other people's money, and we never know that those little companies could be people's only job that provides their family food on the dinner table. Or even giving them enough rent money to owe their roommate the cost just for a roof over their head. It's depressing to hear their is people trying to take down other peoples lives. This may not even be the case, but this is what I'm getting from reading this article. I can't believe this debate is even being considered (not that it will even pass, from my prediction). I hope the cable companies lose everything they have and become dirt poor to see what it feels like to become part of the poverty. It's mean to say, but these rich scums have no clue what it's like. If only this world could be equal, but than again no one would know what hard work and dedication is.. Society will always be society though, their will never be peace or non debates over any complicated controversy. I will make sure to keep updated with this debate, hopefully the cable companies lose.

Obama Administration to Allow Allied Countries to Buy Military Drones

This one is a hard one to vote which side to support for me. Both sides (selling or not selling) have great supporting ideas but none the less bad ideas. Drones alone are a very damaging and effective weapon for the US military and who knows, how do we know those countries who buy these weapons wont attack the US or other foreign countries? A lot of the selling side has its points in the article but it will cause a lot of great connects with other countries. Even trading drones for whatever could possible benefit the military. Also the safety for the citizens of America. It will be a little bit better if we keep it restricted of how much of quantity and how much the cost. If we keep the selling of drones restricted it could also save more lives if the country that bought our drones attacked somewhere in the world. Or even themselves, like down in Syria. Syria comes in a huge role for this article because of all the missiles and explosives damaging and taking out their own country. Except i'm not sure if that is still going on honestly.. I'll take a look at that right now

How We Ruined the Oceans

After I read this article, I learned the ocean has way more damage to it by humans than what I would have guessed. Also reading about extinction, it almost seems over exaggerating but sadly its not. I did see the shrimp coming to an end though after watching a documentary and seeing the huge nets that fisherman use for catching them. But honestly, the people of some countries waste a lot of food and thats why we think we need to catch more so that we can keep up with the quality. Places like the chinese buffets, you always have those people who grab way to munch shrimp or lobster than they can hold down. So, it gets thrown away. But there is pretty much no way to fix that, just cause you cant always judge how much your stomach can hold.  Reading about the plastic in the ocean was also a shocker. 5.25 trillion pieces of plastic is quite a lot but the ocean is also 3/4 of the world. A lot of the plastic probably gets eaten though, which is bad. Of course. With the answer to not being able to remove the plastic is a let down but also makes sense to why we cannot remove it.
