The Dangers of Our Aging Nuclear Arsenal
Rebuilding our arsenal is not foolish in my opinion. It is a huge security defense for our nation. It could also be an offensive force, we will never know what will happen next in our future wars (which most likely we will be in another one, knowing America).
In order to rebuild our arsenal, we should follow my idea. Which is, building the new ICBMs while the old ones are still together (even if they don't work, its still a scare tactic). Because we can't let our guard down. The minute America's enemies find out that we took apart our old missile, which will happen knowing media these days, then the enemy will take that time to attack. Since they would know we don't have a strong defense.
Also, I guarantee but not 100%, that a lot of other countries have upgraded all their nuclear weapons and what not.
The subject "How old are America's nukes?" has a good point to it with all it's facts. Which leads me to saying lets rebuild, again. Our technology today in our military is so futuristic we could make a weapon of god.
That was all I have to say about this article for my opinion.

I remember seeing the news come on about the shooting at the magazine place. I was immediately angry with these gunmen. But I couldn't imagine the guy who was in the offices seeing the shooters burst into the room hearing loud bangs that make your ears ring. Seeing pictures of their weapons, this poor guy most likely felt minor vibrations from the shots.
Hearing about the march they had, I thought that was awesome they decided to stand up for themselves like that.Even though they could have been attacked again, they weren't scared to act. I believe its time to end these gangs/terrorists by fighting together, side by side, country to country.
I give a lot of respect to the officers killed on the line. For them to risk their life for civilians they don't know, is truly heroic. Valor was givin that day.

On a Comet 10 Years Away, Philae Conks Out, Maybe for Good
This article is very interesting.. Even though much of the words I do not know, a lot of it processed in my brain. I believe ESA will find a solution to this problem. If not, than 10 years could be thrown out.. I think it is amazing how space works. Sending a machine into outer space for 10 YEARS and kept in contact with it is just.. Wow. I never knew about Philae or Rosetta until now, but if the space craft does fail to re-start, it won't be seen as a failure. It did complete it's mission, just may not be able to come back home. Luckily no one is on it. I strongly support tax money going to space projects. Not because of political issues, but for the love I have for space. If only I had the brains to become an astronaut.
The Crisis in Ferguson
Ferguson.. Every time I even think about this it fires me up. Before I say anything, everyone has their opinion. So who ever reads this don't get offended at mine, please. Cartoon number 3.. That is so true. People (mostly blacks) are seriously hurting their community, because their black community got hurt? They blame the Police? Officer Wilson was not even close in the wrong. If I am correct, Brown was robbing a store, and then attacked Officer Wilson for his weapon, and civilians are gonna get mad about the shooting of Brown?! That is like saying, "If I stab a baby cub and then go and try to cut his mother, will the mother try to attack me?" Of course she will!! What does Ferguson expect? That cops are armed to not kill criminals under reasonable circumstances? This world is making so much more excuses to commit crimes and defend felons just because they are family with them? Or the same color? Or maybe civilians do it to have something to b**** about..
After a concussion, when can teens return to the football field?
Honestly, I do not know much about concussions over all. I do know they can cause death though. The information that Mr. Brian Mahaffey wrote about the days off after the healing of a concussion is brilliant if you ask me. Especially by narrowing down by age. From what I read in this article concussions are more serious than I expected. Seems like there is endless possibilities of what could happen to the victim of a concussion. I only played football through middle school so I wasn't around sport related injuries much. The only injuries I had in sports are a sprained wrist and a cracked knee that led to crutches. So are concussions a common thing? How do you heal a concussion? These are things I don't know of. That's why there is a Google I guess.
What Students Really Need to Hear
This essay is one of the truest words out there. First off, I believe that teacher is a fantastic teacher. Just like most of them in our school. Every teacher in TCHS has made it hard for me to fail. To many honestly. If it weren't for them, I would not be a senior right now, from what I truly believe. I am lazy, stubborn, and a lot of times a failure. This essay makes me think twice about being that old me, knowing that there is real teachers like that, the ones who try to make me an achiever.
The write really encourages me when he says, " Step up. No more excuses. No more justifications. No blaming. No quitting. Just pick your head up. Rip the cords out of your ears. Grab the frickin' pencil and let's do this". Because if I want to pursue my dream as a soldier in the armed forces, I need to start sucking it up and stop messing around with the bull crap. I am glad I decided to come back and actually read this article of the week and blog about it. I should really start doing that more often.
